ROCA GROUP
Women in Leadership: Building the Future
Leadership has no gender.
Yet in many industrial sectors, women are still underrepresented in leadership roles.
At Roca Group, we know progress takes time — but it also requires commitment and action.
In this video, women leaders from different regions of our company share their experiences, their perspectives on leadership, and why diversity makes organizations stronger.
Because leadership grows when it brings together different voices, experiences and perspectives.
BARBARA URDILLO
Roca Group Sustainability Director
Roca Group is an industrial and global company. We operate in a sector that has historically been male dominated. Although we have made significant progress in recent years, there is still much work to be done. Today, women represent 20% of our workforce, and this percentage is even lower in leadership positions.
LINDAURA PRADO
HR & Legal Director Roca Brasil
The challenge of female representation in relevant positions is not specific to one country or culture. It is a shared challenge, closely linked to the sector in which we operate.
CECILIA LEGORA
Managing Director Roca Italia
Leadership has no gender, just as talent has no gender. However, I believe there is something like a “gendered talent”, or at least a certain tendency toward valuable characteristics that deserve to be cultivated and encouraged. Diversity is the real strength, as it allows for a broader and deeper approach to situations and activities.

In an industrial environment, true leadership is demonstrated through everyday work: being present on the factory floor, listening to workers, and solving real situations.

Leading an industrial organization means making complex decisions every day—decisions that impact people, operations, and results.

One of the decisive factors for the success of a leadership team is having a truly plural composition: different profiles, varied career paths, and ways of thinking that complement each other. Diversity enriches leadership because it brings different experiences and perspectives that expand our understanding of the team, the environment, and the future.

Finance & Administration Director Roca China
The rigor and long-term vision that diversity brings help us identify risks and make strategic decisions.

In a global organization like Roca Group, integrating different perspectives strengthens long-term competitiveness.

We need to ensure space and opportunities to develop female talent and establish the necessary governance so that it is not lost along the way. Only then will we be able to consolidate true female leadership.
ELISABET FONT
Roca Group Corporate University Director
The real challenge in advancing female leadership is not that a woman reaches a leadership position. The challenge is building a strong and sustainable pipeline of female talent by acting much earlier—by the way we support and develop professional careers.
LINDAURA PRADO
HR & Legal Director Roca Brasil
In Brazil, we can already mention some progress, such as the increase in female presence on the Management Committee in recent years, as well as at the managerial level and in our factories. We are gradually expanding the presence of women in the production process.
BARBARA URDILLO
Roca Group Sustainability Director
In recent years, the Group has taken a firm step in this direction. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy provides us with a common framework, while the recent adherence to the Women’s Empowerment Principles reinforces our commitment to female leadership and equal opportunities across all geographies.
ELISABET FONT

Our goal is to build a diverse and sustainable talent base that allows women’s leadership to grow naturally over time.

To truly move forward, it is essential to act on talent development. For this reason, across the Group we are promoting initiatives such as mentorship programs—both formal and informal—that connect women with internal role models and help them gain visibility, confidence, and projection.
In addition, we are reviewing key people-management processes to ensure that development and promotion opportunities take place under equal conditions.
ELISABET FONT
Roca Group Corporate University Director
We want these initiatives to have continuity and scale. That is why this year we are launching the EmpowerING Feminine Leadership Program, a learning experience designed by women for women, conceived as a strategic investment to strengthen and expand the female development journey.
In addition, under the umbrella of our commitment to the Women’s Empowerment Principles, we will launch a training program focused on understanding and applying the principles of women’s empowerment.
LINDAURA PRADO

In Brazil, we integrate initiatives from institutions such as FIESP and Anfacer to promote female presence in industrial sectors, particularly in the ceramic industry. We can highlight programs such as “Women in Industry” and “Women in the Ceramic Industry,” where our company has been represented. These programs offer a unique mentoring opportunity for future leaders.

The future of leadership at Roca Group looks to me like an open book—a text written by many hands—where dynamic collaboration sets the direction.
