Roca Group has acquired Idral, a manufacturer specializing in self-closing faucets and taps for public and semi-public spaces. This acquisition significantly strengthens the group's faucets division, enhancing its position in the market for public or communal bathrooms, such as schools, hospitals, and the hospitality industry.
Idral is the leading supplier of public bathroom taps in Italy, boasting over 50 years of experience and a wide range of products, including electronic, self-closing, and pedal taps. The company, located in Gargallo, Novara (in the Italian region of Piedmont) and owned by the founding partners' families, Vasconi and Angiolini, reported a turnover of 10.3 million euros in 2023. Idral is part of the Cusio Valsesia cluster, which includes 87 companies and represents 20% of Italy's national production of taps and fittings. Idral is also a leader in smart faucets, offering solutions such as self-closing thermostatic cartridges and sensor taps.
For Roca Group, this acquisition is a strategic move due to the complementarity of Idral's products with its own portfolio and its growth potential in Europe.
Roca Group has been assisted in this transaction by KPMG and by Baker McKenzie. Idral has been assisted by Alisea Corporate Finance and by Tonucci&Partners.
