• The group has formalised its commitment to the initiative promoted by UN Women and the United Nations Global Compact to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the business sector.

• This commitment reinforces Roca Group’s dedication to diversity, inclusion and the creation of an equitable and sustainable working environment.

Roca Group is strengthening its commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion by joining the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), aligning its actions with leading international standards and embedding equal opportunities and women’s empowerment across its global sustainability strategy and throughout all areas of its operations.

Diversity and inclusion are key drivers of innovation, helping to strengthen talent attraction and retention while advancing a more equitable workplace.

“At Roca Group, we firmly believe that inclusion drives success. Fostering a diverse workforce not only enriches innovation through the contribution of different perspectives, but also strengthens our ability to attract and retain talent, helping to create a more equitable, motivating and sustainable environment for everyone,” says Albert Magrans, CEO of Roca Group.

Advancing equality through the business environment

The WEPs, promoted by UN Women and the United Nations Global Compact, provide an international framework for companies to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, the marketplace and the community.

These principles are structured around seven key areas of action:

1. Promote gender equality from top leadership.
2. Treat all people fairly at work, without discrimination.
3. Ensure the health, safety and well-being of employees.
4. Promote women’s education, training and professional development.
5. Implement responsible business practices throughout the supply chain.
6. Advance equality through community initiatives and awareness-raising activities.
7. Measure and communicate progress achieved in this area.

As part of this commitment, Roca Group has launched a global project aimed at identifying challenges and opportunities across the different regions in which it operates, as well as defining and implementing concrete measures that support equal opportunities.

The initiative also includes the establishment of indicators and monitoring mechanisms to assess progress objectively and transparently, facilitating results measurement and continuous improvement.
