Language School: Summer Saturation and level testing
The now famous English Summer Saturation programme ran again in 2022. It was the only training from the catalogue to take place in-person this year and the uptake was incredible.

On this occasion, we would like to thank the Sanitana acrylic factory for hosting the meeting and allowing us to find out more about this plant in Anadia, Portugal. Claudia Ferreira (Productivity Manager at Sanitana) and Antonio Simões (Productivity Technician at Sanitana) shared the plant productivity plan for 2022, the improvement actions that were implemented and the other steps to be carried out in 2023.
We are also grateful to Pau Abelló (Senior Managing Director) for his participation. During his presentation, he set out the vision and objectives of the Roca Group’s Composite and Acrylic Business, together with sales figures by product and brand.
As it does every year, RGCU organised two training courses. The first was technical training on project management and Smartsheet, which explains the basic concepts and benefits of using this tool for project management. The second was on skills, focusing on stress management in the workplace.
This year, we were joined by two guests from the Roca Group: Ladislav Dvorak (Corporate Supply Chain Director) talked about the roadmap for 2021/2024 for the transformation and digitisation of the Supply Chain; and Xavier Aguilera (HR Senior Managing Director) gave an update on acquisitions and disinvestment in the Group for 2022, alongside the impact of the pandemic for the year and an analysis of rising electricity and gas prices and measures to address this trend.
The virtual meeting took place on the RGCU Moodle platform. The Moodle hosted the agenda, the presentations of the plants from different countries, the presentation of best practices and documents for training activities. It also provided a centralised access point for the various virtual sessions.
